Overview
CODE | REASON | EFFECT |
Fault Code: 433 PID: P102 SPN: 102 FMI: 2 LAMP: Yellow SRT: 00-093 |
Voltage signal at intake manifold pressure signal pin 26 of the sensor harness connector indicates high intake manifold pressure but other engine characteristics indicate that intake manifold pressure must be low. |

Intake Manifold Pressure Sensor Circuit |
|
Circuit Description
The intake manifold pressure sensor monitors intake manifold pressure and passes information to the electronic control module (ECM) through the sensor harness. If intake manifold pressure becomes too high, it will cause a derate condition.
Component Location
The intake manifold pressure sensor is located on the air intake manifold.
Shop Talk
- The ECM checks for this fault only at idle speed. If the intake manifold pressure shows too high of a value at this time, the ECM will log a fault code.
- Use the intake manifold pressure sensor breakout cable, Part Number 3824775, between the intake manifold pressure sensor and the sensor harness sensor connector, with keyswitch ON. Check with intake manifold pressure sensor connected and disconnected.
- Run an automated cylinder performance test and/or single-cylinder cutout test to detect an injector problem causing the fault. Look for alternate fuel sources, such as oil-filled charge air coolers or blown seals in the turbocharger causing this fault.
