Circuit Description
The ICON™ lamp circuit turns on the ICON™ lamp to indicate when the ICON™ system is active. In addition, ICON™ fault codes will be flashed out on this lamp.
Component Location
The ICON™ lamp is typically located in the vehicle cab on the dashboard panel.
Shop Talk
This fault typically indicates a short circuit to ground or an open circuit. A short circuit to ground can cause the ICON™ lamp to remain on continuously, regardless if ICON™ is enabled or disabled. An open circuit can be caused by a burned-out bulb. This fault code can not be flashed out on the ICON™ lamp. It can be read using INSITE™
or flashing the diagnostic code on the red and yellow lamps.
