Circuit Description
The starter relay/interlock circuit controls and monitors both the starter relay coil and the ICON™ interlocks. The starter relay is used by the ICON™ feature to perform automatic starts of the engine. The interlocks are used by the ICON™ feature to monitor if the transmission is in neutral, the position of the hood/cab, and if the parking brakes are set.
Component Location
The location of the starter relay, parking brake switch, neutral position switch, and hood tilt switch vary among OEMs. Consult the specific OEM troubleshooting and repair manual for exact location.

Typically, this fault code indicates a short circuit to battery, a short circuit to ground, or an open circuit.
