Circuit Description
The fuel control valve position circuit consists of the commanded position signal from the ECM and feedback signal that is received by the ECM from the fuel control valve. The fuel control valve command position signal is supplied by the ECM. The position signal is a +12-VDC pulse-width modulated signal and the feedback is a 0- to 5-VDC signal.
Component Location
100-002 for the component location.

The fuel control valve commanded signal and the feedback signal can be monitored using the display panel. The fuel control valve is most likely to fail in either the closed or fully open position. Monitor the position feedback signal to ensure that the valve is moving freely.
If the difference between the command position and the feedback position signal is larger than the fault threshold, the fault for the mechanically stuck valve will be set.
