Always install a new sealing profile.
1. Thoroughly clean the sealing surfaces of the oil pan and the cylinder block.
2. Mount the sealing profile (2) in the specified mounting sequence.
3. Clean the recess for the sealing profile in the oil sump.
Make sure that the sealing profile surface and the recess are fully dry to prevent leakage.
4. Mount the sealing profile into the oil sump.
