Paccar MX-13 – Removing idler gear

1. Rotate the crankshaft until the timing marks align as shown.
– The position of the mark on the idler gear (7) is irrelevant.
– Rotating the crankshaft without the flywheel housing:
Fit two flywheel attachment bolts (9).
Use a tommy bar (A) to rotate the crankshaft counter-clockwise.

2. Remove the attachment bolt (8) and the thrust plate.

3. Remove the idler gear (7).
