Cause Correction

Electronic fault codes active or high counts of inactive fault codes

Refer to Section TF in the CELECT Plus™ Systems Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Bulletin 3666130, or Section TF in the CELECT™ Systems Troubleshooting and Repair, Bulletin 3666084.

 

Lubricating oil level is above or below specification

Check the oil level. Add or drain oil, if necessary. Refer to Procedure 007-025 in Section 7.

 

Coolant temperature is above specification

Refer to the Coolant Temperature Above Normal – Sudden Overheat or Coolant Temperature Above Normal – Gradual Overheat troubleshooting symptom trees in Section TS.

 

Lubricating oil temperature switch, gauge, or sensor malfunctioning or not in the correct location.

Check the oil temperature switch, gauge, or sensor for correct operation and location. Refer to the OEM service manual.

 

Lubricating oil temperature sensor or circuit is malfunctioning (electronic controlled fuel system)

Check the lubricating oil temperature sensor and circuit. Refer to the CELECT™ Systems Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Bulletin 3666084.

 

Lubricating oil thermostat is malfunctioning

Check the oil thermostat. Refer to Procedure 007-039 in Section 7.

 

Lubricating oil cooler is malfunctioning

Check the oil cooler. Refer to Procedure 007-003 in Section 7.
