NOTE: Do not exceed engine rated RPM during this check.

Quickly depress and release the throttle pedal. Confirm that engine RPM increases when the throttle pedal is depressed and returns to idle RPM when the throttle pedal is released.

Visually inspect the throttle pedal assembly for any foreign objects that would obstruct actuation of the pedal assembly.
