Cause Correction

Electronic fault codes active or high counts of inactive fault codes

Refer to Section TF in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Fuel Systems and Electronics, B5.9G, C8.3G, L10G-III, Bulletin 3666118, for fault code troubleshooting.

 

Diagnostic switch is in the ON position

Turn off the diagnostic switch.

 

Diagnostic switch or circuit is malfunctioning

Check the diagnostic switch and circuit. Refer to Procedures 019-027 and 019-028 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Fuel Systems and Electronics, B5.9G, C8.3G, L10G-III, Bulletin 3666118.

 

Fault code warning lamp circuit is malfunctioning

Check the fault code warning lamp circuit. Refer to Procedure 019-047 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Fuel Systems and Electronics, B5.9G, C8.3G, L10G-III, Bulletin 3666118.

 

Fault code warning lamp is not correct

Verify that the fault code warning lamp bulb is rated for 12 VDC and 200 mA. Refer to the OEM service manual.
