ISM, ISMe, and QSM11 – 006-006   ECM Cooling Plate, Fuel Cooled

• Remove the ECM. Refer to Procedure 019-031 in Section 19.
• Remove the inlet and outlet fuel plumbing from the cooling plate. Refer to the OEM service manual.

Remove the four cooling plate mounting capscrews.

Do not lose any of the heat-resistant grommets. They are on both sides of the cooling plate.

One of the mounting locations has heat-resistant star washer grommets on both sides of the cooling plate.

Remove the cooling plate.

Inspect the cooling plate for cracks or other damage.

Replace the cooling plate if damaged.

Check the restriction across the ECM cooling plate. Refer to Procedure 006-020 in Section 6.

Install a new cooling plate.

Install the heat-resistant grommets on both sides of the cooling plate.

Install the two heat-resistant star washer grommets at the same mounting location.

Tighten the four capscrews.

• Install the inlet and outlet fuel plumbing from the ccoling plate. Inspect for paint or grease on the cooling plate. Refer to the OEM service manual.
• Install the ECM. Refer to Procedure 019-031 in Section 19.
