Remove

Remove the rocker lever cover. Refer to Procedure 003-011 in the Signature, ISX or QSX15 Service Manual, Bulletin 3666239 .
Disconnect the engine harness connector at the cylinder head. Remove the engine brake harness connector retaining nut and o-ring.
NOTE : Rotate the camshaft, if necessary, to remove the connector from the cylinder head.
Remove the engine brake harness from the cylinder head.
Next
Disconnect the solenoid wires.
With your hands spaced about 457 mm [18 in] apart, grasp the engine brake harness support bracket and pull it up and out of the cylinder head.

Inspect for Reuse

Replace or repair the engine brake harness if there is an open circuit or a short circuit found under the protective covering of the harness body.

Install

Install the engine receptacle into the cylinder head.
Install the engine receptacle connector retaining o-ring and tighten the nut.
Torque Value: 11 n.m [97 in-lb]
Install the engine brake harness connector at the cylinder head.
Connect the solenoid wires.
Install the rocker lever cover. Refer to Procedure 003-011 in the Signature, ISX or QSX15 Service Manual, Bulletin 3666239 .
