The sensor measures the intake manifold air temperature. The ECM uses this information for the engine protection system.
The N14 sensor is located on the intake manifold.

Remove

Lift up on the locking tab and pull the electrical connectors apart.
Remove sensor from engine.

Install

Make sure the new sensor has an o-ring.
Install the new sensor into the engine. Tighten the sensor.
Torque Value: 14 n.m [124 in-lb]

Resistance Check

Disconnect the sensor from the sensor connector of the engine harness.
Separate the two connectors.
Lift the tab on the connector and pull them apart.

Use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the two pins of the intake air temperature sensor. The resistance
must be 175 ohms to 244k ohms*. If the resistance is
not correct, replace the sensor. If the resistance is correct, the sensor
must still be checked for a short to ground.
* The resistance value is temperature dependent as follows:

Check for Short Circuit to Ground
TOC
Measure the resistance from a pin of the intake air temperature sensor to the engine block ground. The multimeter
must show an open circuit (more than 100k ohms). If the circuit is
not open, replace the sensor.
Connect all components after the repair is complete.
