1999 GM 6.5L V8 – Repair Instructions – Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement – Installation Procedure

1. Install the drive belt tensioner assembly.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the mounting bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the tensioner assembly bolt to 50 N-m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the drive belt on the drive pulleys. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (6.5L Drive Belt).
