Cause Correction

Air in the fuel system

Check for air in the fuel system. Refer to Procedure 006-003 in Section 6.
 

Fuel inlet restriction

Check for fuel inlet restriction. Refer to Procedure 006-020 in Secction 6.
 

In-line check valve(s) are installed backwards or have incorrect part number

Inspect the check valve(s) for correct installation and part number.
 

Fuel pump pressure regulator is stuck

Check the fuel pump pressure regulator and the high pressure regulator. Refer to Procedure 005-060 in Section 5.
 

Injector o-rings are damaged or missing

Remove and check the injectors. Replace the injector o-rings. Refer to Procedure 006-026 in Section 6.
 

PT fuel pump calibration is not correct

Remove the fuel pump. Check the calibration. Refer to Procedure 005-016 in Section 5 and the PT™ Fuel Pump Rebuild and Calibration Instructions, Bulletin 3379084.
