Preparatory Steps

 TOC

  • Disconnect the charge air cooler hose. Refer to Procedure 010-027.
  • Remove air intake piping.
  • Remove the throttle body assembly. Refer to Procedure 005-052.
  • Remove the ignition coils. Refer to Procedure 013-012.

Remove

Remove the manifold cover and gasket.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

Clean

 TOC

Clean the sealing surface.

NOTE: Keep the gasket material and any other material out of the air intake.

Install

 TOC

Install the cover and a new gasket.

Torque Value:  24  n.m  [212 in-lb]

Finishing Steps

 TOC

  • Install the ignition coils. Refer to Procedure 013-012.
  • Install the throttle body assembly. Refer to Procedure 005-052.
  • Install air intake piping. Refer to Procedure 010-022.
  • Connect the charge air cooler hose. Refer to Procedure 010-027.
