ECM software error internal to the module.

Possible no effect or engine can run rough or not start.

Circuit Description

The ECM is a computer that controls an engine’s operation through its software calibration and electronic components. It requires direct battery supply voltage through the unswitched power supply and it also monitors the keyswitch power input. The ECM will begin its shutdown process when the keyswitch is turned to the OFF position.

Component Location

The ECM is located on the left side of the engine.
