ISBe/ISB Series Engines – 008-039   Fan Spacer and Pulley

Preparatory Steps

Remove the cooling fan drive belt. Refer to Procedure 008-002.

Remove

Remove the four fan capscrews, fan, and spacer.

Remove the fan pulley.

Clean

 WARNING 

When using solvents, acids, or alkaline materials for cleaning, follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for use. Wear goggles and protective clothing to reduce the possibility of personal injury.
 WARNING 

Wear appropriate eye and face protection when using compressed air. Flying debris and dirt can cause personal injury.

Clean the fan pulley with solvent and dry with compressed air.

Inspect for Reuse

Inspect the fan pulley for cracks near bolt holes.

Install

 TOC

Install the fan pulley.

Install the spacer, fan, and fan capscrews.

M6 10 n.m [89 in-lb]
M10 43 n.m [32 ft-lb]
M12 77 n.m [57 ft-lb]

Finishing Steps

 TOC

Install the cooling fan and drive belt. Refer to Procedure 008-002.
