ISC, ISCe, QSC8.3, ISL, ISLe3, ISLe4 and QSL9 Engines – 008-111   Pulley, Fan Idler

Preparatory Steps

 TOC

  • Remove the belt guard. Refer to Procedure 008-001.
  • Remove the fan drive belt. Refer to Procedure 008-002.
  
SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE

Remove

 TOC

Remove the dust shield.

Remove the fan idler pulley capscrew and the fan idler pulley.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

Inspect for Reuse

 TOC

Inspect the pulley for nicks, cracks or any other type of damage.

Replace the pulley if it is damaged.

Install

 TOC

Install the fan idler pulley and capscrew.

Tighten the capscrew.

Torque Value:  52  n.m  [38 ft-lb]

Finishing Steps

 TOC

  • Install the fan drive belt. Refer to Procedure 008-002.
  • Install the belt guard. Refer to Procedure 008-001.
