Preparatory Steps

Remove or disconnect the following:
Engine wiring harness from the lift pump.
EGR differential pressure sensor tubes. Refer to Procedure 011-026 in the Signature, ISX and QSX15 Service Manual, Bulletin 3666239 .
EGR differential pressure sensor. Refer to Procedure 019-370 .
EGR differential pressure sensor mounting adapter.

NOTE : The lift pump is bolted to a mounting plate and must not be removed from the mounting plate.
Remove the four capscrews.
Remove the lift pump.

Clean and Inspect for Reuse

Clean the mounting surfaces.
Inspect the lift pump mounting plate for leaks, cracks or damage. If cracks or damage are found, replace the lift pump.

Install
TOC
Install the lift pump and four capscrews.
Tighten the capscrews.
Torque Value: 18 n.m [14 ft-lb]

Finishing Steps

Install or connect the following:
EGR differential pressure sensor mounting adapter.
EGR differential pressure sensor. Refer to Procedure 019-370 .
EGR differential pressure sensor tubes. Refer to Procedure 011-026 in the Signature, ISX and QSX15 Service Manual, Bulletin 3666239 .
Engine wiring harness from the lift pump.
Turn the keyswitch to the ON position and verify the fuel pump is operating.
Operate the engine and check for leaks.
