C15 – 0283-06 Intake Valve Actuation System Oil Pressure Solenoid current high (97)

Conditions Which Generate This Code:

The Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the following conditions:
• The ECM is attempting to activate the intake valve actuation pressure solenoid and the ECM detects greater than 2.4 A for at least eight seconds.
• The intake valve actuation pressure solenoid is on.

System Response:
The ECM will log the diagnostic code and the ECM will trigger a snapshot. The check engine lamp will illuminate once this diagnostic code has been active for more than ten hours. The ECM will continue to attempt to energize the intake valve actuation pressure solenoid.

None

Troubleshooting:
Perform the following diagnostic procedure: “Intake Valve Actuation System Oil Pressure Circuit – Test”

Results:
• OK – STOP.
