Engine Family: B & C Series
This kit is designed to provide an alternate method to check timing or “re-time” the P7100 Bosch inline fuel injection pump, as related to troubleshooting white smoke complaints. This kit requires removing the number 1 fuel delivery valve. This kit should only be used after determining all other systems are operating properly, i.e. intake heater, fuel quality, and that the fuel pump timing pin is properly aligned in the fuel pump at TDC on number 1 cylinder. This kit can be used as “another check” of the fuel pump timing before replacing the fuel injection pump.
