Engine Family: C & J, K19, NH, NT, V28, V378, V555, V903, V504
This kit contains all the necessary tools to check the alignment and/or rebore the main bearing bores when service caps are used for most Cummins engines. The boring bar is suspended in centering rings temporarily installed in undamaged journal bores. Precision checking rings are then slipped along the bar through the other bores to check alignment. Misalignment or size deviation will be apparent. Necessary boring is done without dismantling the tool. Split ring cutter holders, with preset tool bits, are assembled to the bar and a rotation and feed mechanism is attached to the end of the bar.
NOTE: ST 1177-12 and -38, used on C, J engines are not supplied when ordering the complete kit, but can be ordered as desired.
NOTE: 3375053 Thrust Bearing Surface Cutter is also used with this tool.
