Engine Family: All Except B and C Series
These special gauges are accurately machined at the wear limit dimensions for the Keystone piston ring grooves in Cummins pistons. The gauge is placed in the ring groove. If the gauge shoulder touches the ring groove lands, the groove is too badly worn to permit reuse of that piston.
