Use the Cummins Filtration™ refractometer, Part Number CC-2800, to check the antifreeze concentration.

Check the antifreeze concentration. Use a mixture of 50 percent water and 50 percent ethylene-glycol base antifreeze to protect the engine to -37°C [-34°F] year around.

Antifreeze is essential in any climate. It broadens the operating temperature range by lowering the coolant freezing point, and by raising its boiling point.

The corrosion inhibitors also protect the cooling system components from corrosion and provide longer component life.
