Do not remove the pressure cap from a hot engine. Wait until the coolant temperature is below 50°C [120°F] before removing the pressure cap. Heated coolant spray or steam can cause personal injury.
Do not use force to open or close the shutoff valve. If the valve does not turn freely, refer to Procedure 008-007.
A small amount of coolant can leak when servicing the coolant filter with the shutoff valve in the OFF position. To reduce the possibility of personal injury, use caution to eliminate contact with hot coolant.
