Cause Correction

Electronic fault codes active or high counts of inactive fault codes

Refer to Section TF in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual for CELECT™
Plus Systems, Bulletin 3666130, or Section TF in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual for CELECT™ Systems, Bulletin 3666084.

 

Engine brake enable circuit is malfunctioning (CELECT™ system only)

Check the engine brake enable circuit. Refer to Procedure 019-035 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual for CELECT™
Systems, Bulletin 3666084.

 

Engine brake on/off switch or circuit is malfunctioning

Check the engine brake on/off switch and circuit. Refer to Procedure 019-035 in the CELECT™ Plus Systems Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Bulletin 3666130, or the CELECT™ System Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Bulletin 3666084.

 

Clutch switch or circuit is malfunctioning

Check the clutch switch adjustment, switch, and circuit. Refer to Procedure 019-009 and 019-010 in the CELECT™ Plus Systems Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Bulletin 3666130, or the CELECT™ System Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Bulletin 3666084.

 

Throttle position sensor is misadjusted or malfunctioning

Check throttle position sensor for proper adjustment and operation. Refer to Procedures 019-085 and 019-086 in the CELECT™ Plus Systems Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Bulletin 3666130, or the CELECT™ System Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Bulletin 3666084.

 

Service brake pressure switch or circuit is malfunctioning

Check the service brake pressure switch and circuit. Refer to the OEM service manual.

 

Engine brake adjustment is not correct

Adjust the engine brakes. Refer to Procedure 020-001.

 

Solenoid valve o-ring seals are leaking

Remove the solenoid valve and inspect the top and bottom o-rings. Replace the o-rings if necessary. Procedure 020-001

 

Solenoid valve is malfunctioning

Check for voltage at the solenoid valve. Procedure 020-001

 

Inner control valve spring is broken or the control valve is stuck in the on position

Inspect the inner control valve springs and the control valve. Refer to the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, C-Brake, Bulletin 3810473. Replace the springs or control valve as necessary.
