Every 385,000 km [240,000 mi], 6,000 hours or 3 years, whichever comes first, inspect the turbocharger. Remove the air intake and the exhaust piping. Check the turbocharger as follows:
Look for damaged or cracked compressor or turbine blades. Check to see that the turbocharger shaft spins freely.
If inspections or dimensional checks indicate a problem, contact a Cummins Authorized Repair Location for assistance. Refer to the model number on the turbocharger dataplate.
