Alternator connection to ground is poor |
Inspect the alternator mounting hardware for a proper electrical connection to the battery. Remove any paint and debris from the ground connection. Check mounting bracket bolts for proper torque. Refer to Procedure 013-001. |

Check the voltage regulator. Replace the voltage regulator, if necessary. Refer to the OEM service manual. |
