Cause Correction

Fuel rate is low, fuel pressure is okay, intake manifold pressure is low

Excessive intake air restriction, exhaust leaks, turbocharger wastegate malfunctioning, turbocharger wheel clearance, charge air cooler restriction or leak. Refer to Procedure 010-024, 010-027, 010-031, and 011-009 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Signature, ISX and QSX15 Engines, Bulletin 3666239.

 

Fuel rate low, fuel pressure okay, intake manifold pressure low

Compare the calibration stored in the electronic control module (ECM) with the engine rating and the Control Parts List (CPL), Bulletin number 3379133 or 4021327. Calibrate the ECM if necessary. Refer to the appropriate electronic service tool manual and Procedure 019-032.

 

Fuel rate low, fuel pressure okay, intake manifold pressure high, ambient air temperature between 0° and 38°C [32° and 100°F]

Check for correct control parts list (CPL) components. Refer to Control Parts List (CPL), Bulletin 3379133.

 

Fuel rate low, fuel pressure okay, intake manifold pressure low

Check the fuel pump output pressure, pulsation damper, and pressure regulator. Replace the fuel pump if necessary. Refer to Procedure 005-016 and 005-031 in the Troubleshooting and Repair Manual, Signature, ISX and QSX15 Engines, Bulletin 3666239.
