Remove

Remove

Remove the rocker lever cover. Refer to Procedure 003-011.

Disconnect the engine harness Deutsch connector at the cylinder head. Remove the engine harness Deutsch connector retaining nut and o-ring.

NOTE: Rotate the camshaft, if necessary, to remove the Deutsch connector from the cylinder head.

Remove the engine harness from the cylinder head.

Disconnect the solenoid wires.

With your hands spaced about 18 inches apart, grasp engine brake wiring harness support bracket, and pull it up and out of the cylinder head.

Inspect for Reuse

Replace or repair the internal actuator harness if there is an open circuit or a short circuit found under the protective covering of the harness body.

Install

Replace or repair the internal actuator harness

Install the engine receptacle into the cylinder head.

Install the engine receptacle Deutsch connector retaining o-ring and tighten the nut.

Torque Value:  11  n.m  [97 in-lb]

Install the engine plug Deutsch connector at the cylinder head.

Connect the solenoid wires.

Install the rocker lever cover. Refer to Procedure 003-011.
