Fault Code: 386 PID: S232 SPN: 1079 FMI: 3/3 LAMP: Yellow SRT: |
High voltage detected on the electronic control module (ECM) voltage supply wire to the sensors (VSEN1 supply). |
Engine is derated to no-air setting. |
Sensor Voltage Supply Circuit
|
Circuit Description
The electronic control module (ECM) supplies each of these sensors with positive (+) 5 VDC. If the supply wire to any sensor is damaged, the sensor will not work correctly.
Component Location
There are three components involved in the sensor voltage supply: Intake manifold pressure/temperature sensor, ambient air pressure/temperature sensor, and the fuel pressure sensor. See Section E for component location.
Shop Talk
High voltage on the sensor (+) 5-VDC supply wire will be caused by a short circuit to battery of the supply wire or a short circuit between an actuator wire and the supply wire.
