ISM, ISMe, and QSM11 – 008-036   Fan Hub, Belt Driven

Initial Check

 TOC

Remove the fan drive belt. Refer to Procedure 008-002 in Section 8.

Inspect the fan hub for:

  • Freedom of rotation
  • Cracks
  • Grease seal leakage.

Measure the fan hub end clearance.

Replace or rebuild the fan hub if the end clearance does not meet these specifications, or contact a Cummins® Authorized Repair Location for rebuilding the fan hub.

Preparatory Steps

Remove

Remove the fan drive pulley.

Remove the four capscrews and the fan hub.

Install

 TOC

Install the fan hub and four capscrews.

Torque Value:  47  n.m  [35 ft-lb]
