 WARNING 

Wait for the engine to cool down before working on the heated oxygen sensor. Failure to do so could result in personal injury.

Wait until the sensor is cool. The sensor will be hot after the engine has been running or if the ignition switch is in the ON position.

Disconnect the connector from the engine harness.

Remove the sensor.

 CAUTION 

Only use antiseize compounds approved by Cummins for use with heated oxygen sensors. Other antiseize compounds can damage the sensor.
 CAUTION 

Do not grease the connectors. The heated oxygen sensor will not function correctly with grease in the connectors.

Apply an approved antiseize compound to the new sensor threads.

Install the sensor.

Torque Value:  34  n.m  [25 ft-lb]

Connect the connector on the engine harness.
