Circuit Description

The turbocharger control shutoff valve controls the flow of vehicle brake air to the turbocharger control valve. When the keyswitch is in the ON position, the ECM commands the shutoff valve open, allowing vehicle air to pass through to the turbocharger control valve. When the keyswitch is in the OFF position, the ECM commands the shutoff valve closed, shutting off the flow of vehicle air to the turbocharger control valve. This also prevents vehicle brake air from bleeding down through the turbocharger control valve while the vehicle is not in use.

Component Location

The turbocharger control shutoff valve is located on the intake side of the engine, below the air compressor. Refer to Section E for a detailed component location view.
