The crankshaft position sensor is located on the front gear housing of the engine. Refer to Procedure 100-002 for a detailed component location view.

Disconnect the engine wiring harness from the crankshaft position sensor.

Remove the crankshaft position sensor.

Inspect for Reuse

Inspect the crankshaft position sensor for debris or cracks.

If there is debris on the sensor, clean the sensor.

If the sensor is chipped, cracked or damaged, replace the sensor with a new one.

Install

 TOC

Install a new o-ring onto the crankshaft position sensor.

Install the sensor into the mounting hole.

Torque Value:  25  n.m  [18 ft-lb]

Connect the engine wiring harness to the sensor. Push the connectors together until they lock.
