Preparatory Steps

 WARNING 

Batteries can emit explosive gases. To reduce the possibility of personal injury, always ventilate the compartment before servicing the batteries. To reduce the possibility of arcing, remove the negative (-) battery cable first and attach the negative (-) battery cable last.

Remove

 TOC

Remove the three alternator mounting bracket capscrews and the mounting bracket.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

Clean and Inspect for Reuse

 TOC

Check for cracks or wear in the alternator mounting bore. Replace if damage is found.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

Install

 TOC

Install the mounting bracket and bracket mounting capscrews.

Torque Value:  47  n.m  [35 ft-lb]

Finishing Steps
