GM 6.5L V8 EFI – Mechanical System – OVERVIEW

The mechanical system of the 6.5L EFI V8 diesel engine includes the following component groups (figure 2-1):
• Cylinder case assembly
• Cylinder head assemblies
• Valve train
• Front cover
• Injection pump drive
• Intake manifold
• Exhaust manifolds
