Electronic fault codes are active

For instructions on how to read active fault codes, refer to Procedure 101-007 (Electronic Controlled Fuel System) in Section 1. If fault codes are active, contact a Cummins Authorized Repair Facility.

Fuel level is low in the tank

Fill the supply tank. Refer to the OEM service manual.

J1939 control devices are interfering with the engine controls

Alternately disconnect all other J1939 control devices from the datalink circuit until communication or functionality is restored. Refer to the OEM service manual.

Accelerator pedal or lever position sensor or circuit is malfunctioning

Check for foot pedal restriction. Check the accelerator pedal or lever position sensor and circuit. Refer to the OEM service manual.

Vehicle parasitics are excessive

Check the vehicle brakes for dragging, transmission malfunction, cooling fan operation cycle time, and engine-driven units. Refer to the OEM service manual.

Clutch is malfunctioning or is not correct

Compare the drivetrain specifications to Cummins recommendations. Check the clutch for correct operation. Refer to the OEM service manual for manual shift vehicles.
