Remove

Remove the air piping from the intake manifold.
Remove the hose from the crankcase breather.
Remove the 16 capscrews and the rocker lever cover.
Remove the 16 isolators from the cover.

Clean

WARNING
When using a steam cleaner, wear protective clothing, and safety glasses or a face shield. Hot steam can cause serious personal injury.
NOTE : The gasket can be reused if it is
not damaged.
Remove the gasket and inspect for damage.
Steam clean and dry with compressed air.

Install

If the gasket was
not damaged, it can be used again. If
the gasket was damaged, it
must be discarded and a new one used.
Install the gasket on the cover.

Install the cover on the rocker lever housing.
Install the 16 isolators, spacers and capscrews in the cover.

Tighten the capscrews in the sequence shown.
Torque Value: 15 n.m [130 in-lb]

Install the hose on the crankcase breather.
Install the air piping to the intake manifold. Refer to the manufacturer’s
specifications for the correct torque values.
