Drain the lubricating oil.

Refer to Procedure 007-025.

Remove the oil pan.

Refer to Procedure 007-025.

Remove the main oil pressure regulator.

Refer to Procedure 007-029.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   


Remove the viscosity sensor with a 7/16-inch socket, an extension, and ratchet.

Inspect for Reuse

If the viscosity sensor is plugged or contains debris, it

must be cleaned.

Use solvent and compressed air to remove the debris. If the viscosity sensor can

not be cleaned of all debris, it

must be replaced.

Install

Install the viscosity sensor in the cylinder block.

Torque Value:  24  n.m  [18 ft-lb]

Install the main oil pressure regulator.

Refer to Procedure 007-029.

Install the oil pan.

Refer to Procedure 007-025.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   


Fill the engine with clean 15W-40 oil.

Refer to Procedure 007-025.

NOTE: Engine oil pressure

must be indicated on the gauge within 15 seconds after starting. If oil pressure is

not registered within 15 seconds, shut off the engine immediately to avoid engine damage. Confirm the correct oil level in the oil pan.

Operate the engine at idle speed for 3 minutes to inspect for leaks.
