M11 Series – Service Manual – 009-010   Alternator Drive Pulley

Remove the alternator drive belt.

Refer to Procedure 013-005.

Remove the pulley retainer capscrew.

Use pulley puller, Part No. ST-647, and two 5/16 x 18 x 2 capscrews to remove the pulley.

Inspect for Reuse

Inspect the pulley for nicks, cracks, excessive wear in the belt grooves or other damage.

Install

The pulley

must be installed with the deep dished side of the pulley facing away from the engine.

Use pulley installation tool, Part No. 3376326, and pulley pusher adapter, Part No. 3377401, to install the alternator drive pulley.

Install and tighten the retaining capscrew.

Torque Value:  75  n.m  [55 ft-lb]

Install and adjust the alternator drive belt.

Refer to Procedure 013-005.
