M11 Series – Service Manual – 017-011   Straight Thread Plug

Remove

 TOC

Reference the L10 Alternative Repair Manual, Bulletin 3810310.

Select the appropriate size Allen wrench or socket, and remove the plug.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE

Clean

 TOC

Use spray cleaner, Part Number 3823717 or equivalent, to clean the threads of the straight thread plugs and threaded bores.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

Inspect for Reuse

 TOC

Inspect the threads of the pipe plugs for mutilation or damage.

Inspect the threaded bores for damage.

Repair the bores, if necessary.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   

Install

 TOC

Install a new o-ring on the plug. Lubricate with clean lubricating oil.

Install and tighten the plugs.

Reference the following chart for torque values:

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
   


Tighten straight thread plugs to the appropriate torque value.

SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
