M11 Series – Service Manual – Step Timing Control (STC) Valve is Not Shifting Correctly

This is symptom tree t120
Cause Correction

STC oil delivery system is restricted or has a flow loss

Check the STC oil delivery system. Refer toProcedure 006-037.
 

Lubricating oil pressure is below specification

Check the oil pressure. If the pressure is low, refer toProcedure 007-028.

 

STC oil control valve oil inlet screen is restricted

Check the oil inlet screen. Refer to Procedure 006-037.
 

Rail pressure sensing line is restricted

Check the rail pressure sensing line for restriction.
