Check the water pump body for indications of water leakage at the weep hole. Reference the appropriate engine application for maintenance interval.
If a steady flow or drip of coolant or oil is observed at the weep hole, replace the water pump with a new or rebuilt unit. Refer to Procedure 008-062 (Water Pump) in Section A.
NOTE: A streak or chemical buildup at the weep hole is not justification for water pump replacement.
