B5.9G, B5.9LPG – Troubleshooting and Repair Manual – 016-003   Engine Support Bracket, Rear

Use a hoist or lifting fixture to support the rear of the engine.

Remove the capscrew from the rear engine mount.

Remove the four capscrews and rear support bracket.

WARNING  When using a steam cleaner, wear safety glasses or a face shield, as well as protective clothing. Hot steam can cause serious personal injury.

WARNING  Wear appropriate eye and face protection when using compressed air. Flying debris and dirt can cause bodily injury.

Use steam or solvent to clean the front engine support.

Dry with compressed air.

Inspect the support bracket for cracks or damage.

If the support bracket is cracked, it must be replaced.

Install the support bracket and mounting capscrews.

Lower the rear of the engine.

Install the rear engine mount capscrews.

Tighten to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Remove the lifting fixture or hoist from the rear of the engine.
