Preparatory Steps

Remove the alternator belt. Refer to Procedure 013-005.

Remove the alternator belt tensioner. Procedure 013-021.

Remove the alternator belt idler pulley. Refer to Procedure 013-039.

Remove the spacer.

Clean

 WARNING 

When using solvents, acids, or alkaline materials for cleaning, follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for use. Wear goggles and protective clothing to reduce the possibility of personal injury.
 WARNING 

Wear appropriate eye and face protection when using compressed air. Flying debris and dirt can cause personal injury.

Clean the parts with solvent.

Dry with compressed air.

Inspect for Reuse

Inspect the bracket and spacer for cracks. Replace if damaged.

Install the mounting bracket.

Torque Value:  56  n.m  [41 ft-lb]

Install the alternator belt pulley. Refer to Procedure 013-039.

Install the alternator belt tensioner. Refer to Procedure 013-021.

Install the alternator belt. Refer to Procedure 013-005.

Install the spacer.

Torque Value:  90  n.m  [66 ft-lb]

Install the mounting bracket.

Torque Value:  56  n.m  [41 ft-lb]

Install the alternator belt idler pulley. Refer to Procedure 013-039.

Install the alternator belt tensioner. Refer to Procedure 013-021.

Install the alternator belt. Refer to Procedure 013-005.
