Electronic Control System Signature, ISX and QSX15 Engines – ICON™ Alarm Does Not Sound Before An Engine Start

Cause Correction

Electronic fault codes active or high counts of inactive fault codes

Refer to Section TF for fault code troubleshooting.
 

Engine alarm not set up correctly in the ECM

Refer to the Performance/Economy Features section. Under the thermostat setup procedures, refer to Cab Comfort mode. Adjust the alarm setting accordingly.
 

Engine alarm circuit is malfunctioning

Perform the ICON™ alarm test using INSITE™. Refer to INSITE™ user’s manual, and/or refer to Procedure 019-310 to check the engine alarm circuit.
 

Engine alarm is malfunctioning

Replace the engine alarm. Refer to the OEM troubleshooting and repair manual for the procedure.
