Circuit Description
The camshaft engine position sensor provides engine speed and position information to the electronic control module (ECM). The sensor
must be powered up by (+) 5 VDC to operate. The sensor generates the signal from an extra lobe on the camshaft.
Component Location
The camshaft engine position sensor is located on the intake side of the engine block on the cylinder head to the right of the ECM.
Refer to Procedure 100-002 in Section E for component location.
Shop Talk
Possible causes of this fault code include a damaged camshaft engine position sensor, an open or short circuit, or a power supply voltage failure.
