Remove the air piping from the intake manifold.
Remove the hose from the crankcase breather.
Next
Remove the 16 capscrews and the rocker lever cover.
Remove the 16 isolators from the cover.

Clearn and Inspect for Reuse

WARNING
When using a steam cleaner, wear safety glasses or a face shield as well as protective clothing. Hot steam can cause serious personal injury.
WARNING
Wear appropriate eye and face protection when using compressed air. Flying debris and dirt can cause personal injury.
NOTE : The gasket can be reused if it is not damaged.
Remove the gasket and inspect for damage.
Steam clean and dry with compressed air.

Install

If the gasket was not damaged, it can be used again. If the gasket was damaged, it must be discarded and a new one used.
Install the gasket on the cover.

Install the cover on the rocker lever housing.
Install the 16 isolators, spacers, and capscrews in the cover.

Tighten the capscrews in the sequence shown.
Torque Value: 15 n.m [130 in-lb]

Install the hose on the crankcase breather.
Install the air piping to the intake manifold. Refer to the manufacturer’s specifications for the correct torque values.
