Sensor Supply B – High Voltage

High voltage detected on the electronic control module (ECM) voltage supply line to fuel rail pressure.

Possible low power.
Fuel Rail Pressure Circuit
SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE

Circuit Description

The ECM supplies the sensor with +5 VDC. If the supply wire to this sensor is damaged, the sensor will not work correctly.

Component Location

The fuel pressure sensor is located on the high-pressure common rail, which is above the intake manifold housing.

Shop Talk

High voltage on the sensor +5-VDC supply line will be caused by a short to battery in the supply line. If Fault Codes 227 and 451 are active, then begin troubleshooting Fault Code 227 first.
